Thanks to our friend Tahsin Shamma, Blue Peg, Pink Peg is helping facilitate the creation of a games library to be used by Jeff’s Place of Framingham, Massachusetts in the treatment and care of children dealing with grief, loss, and anxiety. Jeff’s Place is a 501(c)(3) non-profit designed to help vulnerable children who have lost loves ones, or who are otherwise struggling with grief or loss.
It is their hope to use board games in order to build trust, facilitate communication, encourage joy, and build community. Our listeners have a special understanding of the power of games. Therefore, we are asking you to help us put this library together. Various titles have been selected that will serve Jeff Place’s therapeutic needs. If you would like to contribute one of these titles you can either:
1) purchase the title (or donate your own copy) and mail it to Jeff’s Place at Jeff’s Place, 34 Deloss St., Framingham, MA 01702 or
2) contribute directly to Jeff’s Place clicking the button below putting “Board Game Library:[Title of Game You Want to Contribute]” into the “Tribute” field.
We ask that if you are donating a specific game you select games from the list below. However, if you are selecting a specific title, let us know either through the comments box at the bottom of this post of through an e-mail to us a firstname.lastname@example.org with “Jeff’s Place” in the subject line. We will keep the list updated. If you have ideas for other games that may work for Jeff Place’s therapeutic purposes, please us know that too and as appropriate will will revise the list.
